Ajay Devgn is returning for the third Hindi Drishyam film, titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, and hopes the project receives the approval of Malayalam star Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph. Devgn said he wants both to watch the finished film and share their views on it.

The actor described the new Hindi film’s script as completely different from the Malayalam films. His comments point to a separate creative direction for the Hindi franchise’s finale, rather than a straightforward continuation of the Malayalam storyline.

Devgn wants feedback from the Malayalam team

Mohanlal stars in the Malayalam Drishyam films, while Jeethu Joseph directed them. Devgn said he would like Mohanlal to watch the completed Hindi film and also wants feedback from Joseph, who is closely associated with the Malayalam franchise.

Devgn’s interest in their response reflects the connection between the two versions of Drishyam. However, the actor has emphasised that the script for Drishyam: The Conclusion is substantially different from the Malayalam films.

The film’s makers have treated the third instalment as a significant challenge. Devgn said the writers spent about two and a half years working on the script before the project moved towards its release.

A long-developed finale

The extended writing process underlines the importance of the story for the Hindi franchise. Devgn described making the third film as a major challenge, while the available details indicate that considerable time was spent developing its screenplay.

The title Drishyam: The Conclusion presents the film as the finale of the Hindi series. Beyond describing the script as completely different from the Malayalam films, Devgn has not disclosed further story details in the available information.

The project is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 2, 2026. Its release will give audiences the opportunity to see how the Hindi franchise concludes and whether Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph share their feedback after watching it.

For now, Devgn’s focus is on completing the film and presenting the distinct story developed for the Hindi version. The actor’s stated hope is that the Malayalam star and director will approve of the finished result.
