Director Aditya Hasan said Vaishnavi Chaitanya had expressed concern about the intimate scenes in Epic: First Semester and that he assured her he would take responsibility if the role led to controversy.
Hasan directed the film, which stars Anand Deverakonda opposite Chaitanya. Epic: First Semester is connected to Hasan’s web series 90s.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 10.
