Netflix has announced a new Indian comedy lineup under its “Har Type Ka Funny” campaign, bringing together films, stand-up specials, series and unscripted comedy for the upcoming season.

The slate will begin with the adventure-comedy film Dhamaal 4, followed by Chumbak, a family entertainer from the makers of Khichdi and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.

The lineup also includes Zakir Khan’s stand-up special Papa Yaar, which offers a comedic look at the complex and often unspoken relationship between Indian fathers and their sons.

The Great Indian Kapil Show is set to return for Season 5. Bhuvan Bam’s Dhindora will also come back for a second season, while comedian Sumukhi Suresh is joining Netflix with new content.

Netflix said more of Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent is on the way. The announcement also highlighted a recently released Netflix-exclusive episode featuring actor Varun Dhawan.

Monika Shergill, vice president of content at Netflix India, said the comedy slate was designed to bring together entertainers, voices and stories from films, series and stand-up specials.

Netflix said its wider library will continue to offer Indian and international comedy titles, including homegrown stories, Indian comedians and global comedy productions.
