Rani Mukerji was honoured with the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award at the 62nd Maharashtra State Film Awards ceremony in Mumbai. The award recognised her contribution to Indian cinema as she completed three decades in the film industry.

Screenwriter Salim Khan received the Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award.Actor and filmmaker Prasad Oak was presented with the Chitrapati V Shantaram Special Contribution Award. Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar received the Chitrapati V Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards placed Mukerji’s contribution alongside honours for established figures whose work has been recognised through the Maharashtra State Film Awards. Each recipient was presented with an award in one of the special contribution or lifetime achievement categories.
Mukerji’s Marathi acceptance speech
