Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held a meeting with a TCS delegation and representatives of HyperVault and OpenAI at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat in Hyderabad, according to the state government.
The proposed HyperVault project is planned as an AI data centre campus spanning more than 250 acres, with a capacity of 1 GW, or 1,000 MW. The Telangana government said TCS, HyperVault and partner companies are expected to invest approximately ₹70,000 crore in developing and operating the facility.
The project is expected to create around 7,000 direct and indirect jobs. The campus is planned to provide high-performance computing infrastructure for AI companies, hyperscalers and global enterprises. It is also expected to use liquid cooling, green energy and a water-neutral design.
Revanth Reddy described the proposed campus as a significant development for Telangana and India, saying large-scale computing capacity would become critical infrastructure as artificial intelligence expands. He said the project would support the Telangana Rising Vision 2047 and the state’s goal of developing a $3 trillion economy.
The chief minister said the investment would create opportunities not only in AI and data centres but also in power, cooling, networking, construction, engineering and operations. He assured TCS and HyperVault of government support for implementing the project and said it would contribute to the development of Future City.
The meeting was attended by IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Adluri Laxman Kumar, along with senior representatives from TCS, HyperVault and OpenAI.
According to the state government, discussions on the project began after a meeting between Revanth Reddy and Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran at Davos in January 2026. The government said Telangana was selected for the project despite competition from five other states.
